Job summary

emagine is seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer with Tech Lead experience to develop and deploy applications used by retailers and service advisors globally. You will collaborate with a remote-friendly team, mentor juniors, and contribute across back-end (Java/Kotlin), front-end (React), AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and microservices in a cloud-based Kubernetes environment with GitLab CI pipelines.

This is a one-year contract with potential extension, requiring 2–3 days per week in the Stockholm

Qualifications

Proven experience in Fullstack development with Java and Kotlin.
Strong understanding of event-driven architecture.
Experience in microservices and cloud-based deployments.
Proficient in modern front-end technologies (React).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Develop and deploy applications to production with the team.
Use event-driven practices and CI/CD in deployments.
Assess deployment risks and communicate them clearly.
Build systems enabling rapid and confident team movement.
Contribute to back-end, front-end, and AWS development as needed.
Mentor junior developers and foster learning.
Refine software stacks and explore new tech.
Maintain micro frontends and microservices.
Engage with Kubernetes-based cloud architecture deployed with GitLab CI pipelines.
Facilitate communication between services via Kafka.
