Qualifications

• Proven experience shipping PETAL stack apps (Elixir/Phoenix/LiveView).
• Deep Elixir/OTP knowledge with concurrency, supervision and reliability.
• Strong product/design collaboration and user-centric engineering.
• Nice-to-have: advanced degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the PETAL stack SaaS using Phoenix, Elixir, TailwindCSS, Alpine.js, LiveView.
• Engineer core features like one-click assays and a visual pipeline builder.
• Collaborate with scientists and designers to translate research into scalable solutions.
• Design secure Elixir/OTP systems for complex data, real-time interactions and long‑running workflows.
• Champion code quality through best practices, reviews, and performance/reliability focus.
• Build backend services powering interactive, publication‑ready graphs and shareable datasets.
• Architect backend + LiveView interactions for researcher co‑pilot; develop real-time components for workflows.
