Job summary

Functional Software Stockholm AB, on behalf of our client, seeks a Senior Backend Developer with extensive Elixir and OTP experience to join a small, highly skilled team building scalable, business-critical backend services.

You will work hands-on in a modern product organization, focusing on performance, availability and maintainability, with a long-term, full-time assignment starting by agreement in Gothenburg, with the possibility to work remotely within Sweden.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of professional Elixir and OTP experience in production systems.
• Experience building scalable, high-performance, robust backend services.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and architectural design.
• Experience with caching, message queues, and SOA.
• Solid knowledge of Linux and infrastructure, deployment and monitoring.
• Excellent spoken and written English; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable Elixir/OTP backend services.
• Improve system performance, availability and stability.
• Collaborate with a small team and production owners in a modern product organization.
