Job description

The client is a fast-growing technology company within the cyber security domain. They build advanced security products used across multiple markets, processing large volumes of transactions daily with high demands on performance, reliability, and safety.

This role is aimed at experienced backend developers who want to work closely with core platform technology in a highly autonomous environment. The team operates with a lean mindset, flat hierarchy, and minimal meetings, maximizing time for building scalable, secure systems.

The assignment involves working as a Senior Software Developer within a distributed, microservice-based platform. You will collaborate with senior engineers and technical leadership on backend development, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure.

Primary focus areas include:

• Backend and platform development in a distributed AWS + Kubernetes environment
• Designing and building scalable, performant, and secure services
• Taking ownership of architectural decisions and technical direction
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, observability, and automation workflows

The working language is English, and the team is primarily based in Stockholm, Sweden. Hybrid work is supported, with an expectation of being on-site regularly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with Elixir, Rust, or similar backend technologies
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
• Experience designing and building distributed systems
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Experience with AI-assisted coding workflows
• Strong communication skills in English (Swedish is a strong plus)

Nice to have

• Production experience with Kubernetes / EKS
• Experience with AWS cloud services and related tooling
• Background in cyber security or other high-availability domains
• Backend: Elixir (primary), Rust, PHP
