Job summary

Syntrace in Stockholm is hiring a Backend Engineer to own backend systems end to end in a security‑focused product for institutional investors. You will work in a small senior team where reliability and real-time processing are core, with ownership that has real impact on the product and customers.

Expect hands-on work with Python, FastAPI and PostgreSQL, and a focus on scalable, event‑driven architectures.

Qualifications

• Several years building production backend systems at a fast-growing company.
• Strong Python, with FastAPI and PostgreSQL as a plus.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, real-time systems or both.

Responsibilities

• Own backend systems end to end in a senior team.
• Security is a core part of the product, not a side feature.
• Build production-grade backend services in Python with FastAPI.
