Job summary

Nordea in Sweden seeks a Senior/Expert Data Scientist to design, build and scale Generative AI solutions for Operations, delivering production-grade AI applications from concept to production.

You will prototype and deploy RAG and LLM-powered systems, collaborate with product owners, engineers, and business experts, and drive model evaluation, governance, and Responsible AI practices. Hybrid work and strong development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Data Science, ML, CS, maths, statistics or related field; equivalent practical experience valued.
• 3+ years delivering production-grade AI/ML or advanced analytics solutions.
• Strong Python and modern AI/ML frameworks experience.
• Proven ability to scale prototypes into production systems.
• Experience with testing, evaluation, experimentation, and performance measurement.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and scale AI solutions from concept to production.
• Identify high-impact Generative AI opportunities with business stakeholders.
• Prototype, deploy, and monitor production-grade AI applications.
• Design and implement RAG, agentic AI, and LLM-powered solutions.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, architects, and business experts.
• Drive experimentation, evaluation frameworks, and model quality assessments.
• Contribute to AI architecture, reusable frameworks, and engineering best practices.
• Ensure security, compliance, governance, and Responsible AI compliance.
• Support AI adoption through coaching and knowledge sharing.
