Job summary

NordAxon is seeking a Senior Data Engineer – AI & Machine Learning to design and build scalable data architectures, pipelines and platforms that enable production AI solutions.

You will work closely with AI/ML engineers, data scientists and software engineers to ingest, transform and store data, support end-to-end ML workflows, and deploy data foundations for Generative AI, LLMs and analytics across client projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or AI/ML Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data architectures and production-grade data pipelines for AI/ML applications
• Build robust ETL/ELT processes for structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
• Design and implement modern data lake, lakehouse and data warehouse architectures
• Integrate data from APIs, databases, enterprise systems, files, streaming sources and external platforms
• Prepare and transform data for Machine Learning, predictive analytics and Generative AI applications
• Create ingestion and processing pipelines for LLMs, vector databases and AI Agents
• Work with both batch and real-time/streaming data
• Ensure data quality, reliability, observability and maintainability
• Design and implement scalable cloud-based data solutions
• Support deployment and operation of AI/ML solutions using DataOps, DevOps and MLOps
• Collaborate with customers to translate business and AI requirements into robust solutions
• Contribute to architecture decisions and NordAxon’s evolving AI capabilities
