Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to scale our Data & AI capabilities within the Engineering Practices. You will lead diverse projects, transform data into actionable insights, and mentor teammates across the Nordic region.

You will design predictive and prescriptive models, support presales, and collaborate with clients to deliver data-driven solutions. English communication is essential, and travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree (Master’s or PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or Machine Learning.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or R, with expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and machine learning.
• Experience working with SQL, large-scale datasets, data preparation, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.
• Proven track record in end-to-end ML model lifecycle management, including development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing).
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch), data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and cloud/data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).

Responsibilities

• Lead data science projects and provide analytical expertise to clients.
• Develop predictive, prescriptive and statistical models to solve complex business challenges.
• Support presales activities and help shape data-driven solutions for clients.
• Drive competence development and mentor junior team members.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders.
