Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Sweden seeks a Senior Data Scientist to scale Data & AI capabilities for Nordic clients across Automotive, Manufacturing, Life Science, Defence, Retail and Telecom sectors. You will deliver value through senior-level assignments, transforming data into actionable insights and predictive solutions.

You will mentor juniors, contribute to solution design and presales, and collaborate with engineering practices to drive data-driven decisions. Strong English needed.

Qualifications

• Degree (Master’s or PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or Machine Learning.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or R, with expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and machine learning.
• Experience with SQL, large-scale datasets, data preparation, feature engineering, and EDA.
• Proven track record in end-to-end ML model lifecycle management (development, validation, deployment, monitoring, experimentation).
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch), data viz tools (Power BI, Tableau), and cloud/data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).

Responsibilities

• Lead data science projects and provide analytical expertise to clients.
• Develop predictive, prescriptive, and statistical models to solve business challenges.
• Support presales activities and shape data-driven solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and drive competence development.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
