Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to scale our Data & AI capabilities for Nordic clients. You will lead data science projects and develop predictive models for automotive, manufacturing, life sciences, defence, retail and telecom sectors.

You will mentor junior colleagues, support presales, and communicate insights to both technical and business stakeholders. A Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field and 5+ years in data science are required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or Machine Learning.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or R, with expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and machine learning.
  • Experience working with SQL, large-scale datasets, data preparation, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end ML model lifecycle management, including development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing).
  • Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch), data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and cloud/data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
