Cytiva R&D in Uppsala is seeking a passionate Senior Research Engineer to shape the next generation of Biacore consumables, turning ideas into products that enable scientific breakthroughs for researchers worldwide.

You will combine hands-on laboratory work, scientific expertise, and collaborative problem solving to drive innovation from concept to product, while supporting and improving our consumables portfolio for Biacore users globally.

Qualifications

MSc or similar in relevant life science discipline.
Experience working with SPR technology and Biacore systems.
Strong laboratory skills and a genuine passion for experimental science.
Knowledge of statistics and data analysis, with an interest in applying them to product development.
An innovative problem-solver who enjoys turning scientific challenges into practical solutions.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
A collaborative team player who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

Drive the development of innovative Biacore consumables products from idea to launch.
Design, evaluate, and optimize new consumables concepts and technologies.
Solve scientific and technical challenges through experimentation and innovation.
Perform hands‑on laboratory work to develop and validate new products and applications.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
Support product care activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of our consumables portfolio.
