Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks a Senior AI Engineer Consultant with People Manager responsibilities. You will join client assignments as a Senior AI Engineer, becoming a Subject Matter Expert in Data, AI & ML, and collaborate with other engineering practices to optimize operations.

As a People Manager, you will lead a small team of AI Engineers and Data Scientists, recruiting, mentoring and delivering solutions to clients in defence, automotive, life science and other sectors.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in computer science, physics, mathematics, biology or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of industry experience with Python, R, C++ and statistical data analysis.
• Experience with databases (SQL, Elasticsearch), data tools (Databricks, Snowflake) and data pipelines (Spark, PySpark, Kafka, Hadoop).
• Familiarity with ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of LangChain, AutoGen, OpenAI Agents SDK and agentic AI frameworks.
• Strong ETL processes understanding and ability to engage external technology stakeholders.
• People management experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver as a Senior AI Engineer on technical client assignments.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Data, AI & ML and collaborate with engineering practices.
• Manage a small team of AI Engineers and Data Scientists delivering customer solutions.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop team members and drive talent growth.
• Contribute to technical proposals and delivery for clients across industries.
