Qualifications

• PhD or MSc with 5+ years in RF, microwave, semiconductor, optoelectronic or electrical engineering.
• Strong background in RF engineering, signal integrity and high-speed electronics.
• Hands-on lab experience with RF and microwave test equipment for wafer- and chip-level characterization.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

About The Role

As an RF Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, modelling, characterization, and optimization of high-speed integrated optoelectronic devices. You will combine advanced RF engineering expertise with hands‑on laboratory work to ensure our products meet demanding performance requirements.

Working closely with cross-functional teams across Design, Process Engineering, Operations, and Project Management, you will help transform innovative concepts into high-performance products ready for industrial deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design high-speed integrated optoelectronic devices such as electro-absorption modulators, Mach-Zehnder modulators, and related packaging solutions.
• Model RF characteristics and signal integrity to predict device performance in real-world applications, including drivers and interconnects.
• Perform advanced RF, microwave, and optoelectronic characterization to validate designs and support continuous optimization.
• Design, specify, and implement test methods and procedures for performance evaluation.
• Contribute to technology platform selection and technical solution development.
• Act as a technical expert within development projects and support product specification activities.

Required Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• PhD, or MSc with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience, with significant experience in RF, microwave, semiconductor, optoelectronic, or electrical engineering.
• Strong technical background in:
• RF engineering
• Signal integrity
• High-speed electronics
• Optoelectronic devices
• Numerical modelling and simulation
• Hands-on experience with RF and microwave test equipment and methodologies for wafer-level and chip-level characterization.
• Experience performing laboratory validation, measurement, and troubleshooting of high-speed devices.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with integrated photonics and semiconductor technologies.
• Knowledge of optical communications systems and device packaging.
• Swedish language skills are advantageous but not required.
