Job summary

Siemens Energy in Finspång is seeking an R&D Technical Representative to lead supplier qualification and development, ensuring technical requirements are understood and implemented across engineering, procurement, and quality.

You will coordinate a cross-functional team, prioritize work packages, and drive improvements in manufacturing processes and supplier performance while aligning stakeholders for timely decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/manufacturing/materials engineering or related field.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, drawings, and quality requirements.
• Experience in roles related to manufacturing, quality, engineering, or supplier development.

Responsibilities

• Represent the R&D organization in supplier qualification and development, ensuring technical requirements are understood and implemented by manufacturers.
• Act as coordinating point for supplier qualification and development across a cross-functional team.
• Structure, prioritize, and coordinate incoming requests and work packages for effective execution.
• Collaborate with line managers to allocate activities.
• Perform technical evaluations, audits, and capability assessments of suppliers.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure robust supplier solutions.
• Drive continuous improvements in manufacturing processes, product quality, and supplier performance.
• Facilitate communication and alignment between stakeholders with transparency and timely decisions.
• Contribute to development of methods, processes, and strategies for supplier qualification.
