Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Sweden seeks an R&D Quality Engineer to ensure quality excellence across NPI projects and enhancements to the product portfolio. You will partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and certification teams to ensure designs meet internal processes and external standards.

You’ll drive quality from concept to release in a fast-paced, international R&D environment, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines and supporting continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems and Stage-Gate/APQP.
• Knowledge of FMEA, DFM/DFA, PPAP, RCA and other core quality tools.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.
• Ability to travel internationally is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality execution across NPI projects from concept through qualification, certification, and release.
• Integrate quality requirements into project planning, milestones and development phases.
• Drive proactive quality risk management with DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, DFA and CAPA; define CTQ characteristics.
• Coordinate audits (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) and drive timely closure of findings.
• Lead RCA related to NPI issues and design changes; implement corrective actions.
• Monitor project quality performance and identify opportunities for improvements.
