Job summary

BECKER INDUSTRIAL COATINGS AB is seeking an R&D Chemist to develop and improve coating systems for Nordic coil coating and automotive customers. You will work with chemists, colorists, and technical experts, interfacing with production, sales, suppliers, and Beckers’ global R&D organization.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Chemistry.
• Experience in coatings/paints or surface treatment is an advantage.
• Analytical, responsible and quality-focused.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

As R&D Chemist, you will develop and improve coating systems for our Nordic coil coating and automotive customers. You will be part of a skilled R&D team consisting of chemists, colorists, and technical experts, working closely with production, sales, suppliers, and Beckers’ global R&D organization. You will report to the R&D Manager Sweden.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize solvent compositions with a focus on sustainability and safety
• Develop and modify coating products based on customer requirements
• Evaluate product performance and document results
• Lead and execute development projects according to agreed plans
• Present results and recommendations to key stakeholders
• Maintain close collaboration with suppliers and colleagues across Beckers
• Share technical knowledge and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Beckers' safety standards and values

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Chemistry
• Experience from the coatings, paints, or surface treatment industry is an advantage
