Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a leader to guide a team of application scientists in proteomics. You will provide pre- and post-sales technical support, training, and consultative services to customers worldwide, collaborating with sales to grow market presence and ensure satisfaction.

You will manage demonstrations, validations, troubleshooting, and implementation of complex workflows, stay current with emerging technologies, and mentor staff across the organization to meet business

Qualifications

• Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience (or Bachelor's with 8 years) in applicable field.
• Preferred fields: Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Materials Science or related.
• Certifications in management or relevant technical areas are advantageous.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 3+ years of people management or team leadership experience.
• Deep expertise with analytical instrumentation, workflows, and applications.
• Experience in proteomics technologies is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in customer-facing technical support.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills across all levels.
• Strong business understanding to support commercial success.
• Experience developing and delivering technical training programs.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Proficient in English; additional language skills valuable.
• Advanced problem-solving and project management capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop technical staff.
