Airpelago, Gothenburg-based, is seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our Operations Team and drive our established Nordic operations. You will oversee high-quality inspection deliveries to power grid owners, spanning data analysis and geodata corrections for the Nordic region.
You will bridge internal teams with external stakeholders, serving as the primary contact for clients and field-deployed drone pilots.
Airpelago is an international market-leading software company specializing in power line inspections using drone technology. Our software ensures efficient, high-quality inspections with minimal environmental impact.
Founded in Gothenburg in 2018, we have grown rapidly year over year. Today, Airpelago has inspected over 200,000 km of power lines across 12 European countries, backed by a team of over 50 colleagues and more than 100 drone pilots.
We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our Operations Team and play a key role in driving our established Nordic operations.
As a Project Manager at Airpelago, you will oversee high-quality inspection deliveries to power grid owners across the Nordic region. Deliverables range from power line inspections to data analysis and geodata corrections for the electrical grid.
In this role, you will bridge internal teams with external stakeholders – serving as the primary point of contact for both clients and field‑deployed drone pilots. Your responsibilities span the full project lifecycle: aligning client expectations, leading project preparation, driving day‑to‑day progress, and conducting post‑project follow‑ups.
Portfolio ownership: You will independently manage your own client portfolio – handling up to 8-10 concurrent projects during peak season and roughly 30 projects annually (representing an annual volume of ~15–20 MSEK).
Seasonal variety: Nordic operations follow a seasonal rhythm. Field projects peak through spring, summer and autumn while winters are dedicated to process optimization, strategic planning, and preparing for the upcoming season.
Travel: Regular travel across the Nordics is required to meet clients and support field operations.
Team structure: You will work alongside a supportive team of three Project Managers and report to the Operations Manager.
Requirements:
Education: Higher education degree in project management, engineering, technology, or business.
Experience: 1-5 years of experience in project management, ideally within a technical or engineering environment.
Languages: Fluent in Swedish and business-level English (written and spoken).
Licensing: Valid B driver's license.
Meritorious / Bonus points:
Fluent proficiency (C1/C2 level) in German, Spanish, French, or Polish is highly qualifying.
Experience working with GIS or other mapping frameworks.
Prior exposure to energy, utilities, drone operations, or aviation software.
We place great value on personal fit, problem‑solving mindset, and adaptability.
You will play a central role in transforming an industry with automated aerial data. We are currently on an exciting growth journey, and you will become part of a driven, passionate, and highly skilled team. We believe in achieving great things while having fun along the way - including an annual winter office abroad and recurring company gatherings. We offer a dynamic, high-trust environment where our technical innovations directly impact real-world operations and commercial success.
If you are ready to take on the challenge of leading large-scale technology projects alongside major European energy players, we’d love to hear from you!
Application Deadline: December 11th. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
