Airpelago is seeking a Data Processing Specialist to lead LiDAR data processing and QA workflows behind our drone-based inspections. You will build scalable data flows and integrate new drones and sensors into our Global Data Processing platform.

You will manage end-to-end customer deliverables, evaluate new sensors, and collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality results. A strong background in LiDAR processing and production-grade scripting is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience processing LiDAR data from multiple sensor manufacturers.
• Experience developing LiDAR processing workflows, from scratch.
• Ability to troubleshoot the LiDAR pipeline end-to-end (GNSS -> IMU -> trajectory -> point cloud).
• Knowledge of LiDAR post-processing methods (strip alignment, classification).
• Production-quality scripting and software skills for data processing workflows (PDAL/laspy, CRS transformations, QGIS).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to manage multiple projects.
• Minimum of 5 years of higher education, preferably MSc.

Data Processing Specialist

At Airpelago, we are pioneering the inspection of power grids with drones. We combine modern drone technology, proprietary software, and expertise in drone regulations to help grid owners inspect and get insights about their assets, which our society is dependent on. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a LiDAR Processing Specialist to build and maintain the processing and quality workflows behind our customer deliveries, and to help us integrate new drones and sensors into our system.

Your mission

You will focus on our LiDAR processes: enabling the integration of new drones and sensors by building the data flows they require. Beyond LiDAR, you will support the Global Data Processing team's core operations, from maintaining the quality workflows our deliveries depend on to managing the large-scale data that enables our autonomous flights.
