Job summary

ABB Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) Sweden is seeking a driven Project Manager to own medium‑voltage switchgear project delivery from order to completion. You will coordinate across customers, factories and suppliers, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget execution while building trust and long‑term relationships.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading technical projects from customer order to final delivery.
  • Experience in medium-voltage systems or switchgear solutions.
  • Strong technical understanding from engineering, design or service roles.
  • Experience working with customers, suppliers, and multiple stakeholders.
  • SAP experience is required.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken).
  • A related engineering or technical degree is a merit but not mandatory.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will take full ownership of customer projects within medium-voltage switchgear solutions, leading deliveries from order to completion. You will act as the key point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring successful project execution while building strong and long-term relationships. We are looking for a driven and technically minded project manager who enjoys taking responsibility, solving challenges, and creating value for customers. Whether your background is in project management, engineering, design, installation, or service, your technical understanding and ability to drive projects successfully are what matter most. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) business in Sweden.

  • Leading and coordinating project activities throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Managing project scope, schedule, changes, costs, and quality to achieve project objectives.
  • Collaborating closely with customers and our factories and suppliers to ensure effective communication and successful project delivery.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customers and building long-term, trust-based relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring project documentation, reporting, and compliance with internal processes and customer requirements.
  • Participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and coordinating related activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to efficient project execution within the team.

Qualifications for the role
  • You have experience leading technical projects and taking ownership of project execution from customer order to final delivery.
  • Experience within medium-voltage systems, switchgear solutions, power distribution, or related electrical infrastructure is highly valued.
  • You possess a strong technical understanding, gained either through project management roles or hands‑on experience as an engineer, designer, technician, installer, service engineer, or similar technical positions.
  • You have experience working closely with customers, suppliers, and multiple stakeholders, and you are comfortable building trust‑based relationships.
  • Experience working in SAP is required.
  • You are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
  • A degree in engineering, project management, or another relevant technical field is considered a merit but is not a requirement.
  • You are a relationship builder who enjoys collaborating with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across different functions.
  • With your strong communication skills, you create trust, provide clarity, and adapt your approach to different audiences and situations.
  • You work in a structured and organized way, enabling you to prioritize effectively, manage multiple activities simultaneously, and maintain focus even in complex project environments.
  • You thrive in a dynamic setting where priorities can shift, and you remain solution-oriented and proactive when facing challenges or tight deadlines.
  • As a person, you are driven, take ownership of your work, and are comfortable making decisions that move projects forward.
