Job summary

Blykalla is seeking a driven Project Manager to lead complex, capital-intensive initiatives in Sweden's fast-moving clean energy sector. You will own project delivery from concept to completion, coordinating engineering, suppliers, and partners to ensure measurable progress and clear outcomes.

Ideally, you bring 10+ years in project management within large industrial contexts, strong leadership, and exceptional communication. English fluency is required; Swedish is a plus.

• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in large, complex, capital-intensive projects.
• Experience from product development in large-scale physical industrial projects with multiple suppliers and partners.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire teams and build trust.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities and ownership under uncertainty.
• Experience from start-up or scale-up environments is valued.
• Fluency in English; Swedish is a plus.

What we do at Blykalla

Blykalla is developing the next generation of nuclear technology with our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) based on innovative fuel, materials, and reactor designs. As Sweden’s only SMR developer, we are on a mission to decarbonize industries and enable safe, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions. Our technology uses uranium nitride fuel and lead coolant, creating novel challenges and opportunities for the fuel cycle and supporting systems.

What you’ll get to do

As a Project Manager, you’ll join a fast-moving team working on some of the most ambitious clean energy initiatives in Sweden. Your role will be central to turning complex ideas into real progress, collaborating across engineering, suppliers and partners to deliver outcomes that shape the future of sustainable energy.

You will:

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• A degree in science, technology, or engineering.
• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in large, complex, capital-intensive industrial or infrastructure projects
• Experience from product development in large-scale physical industrial projects with multiple suppliers and partners, ideally involving hardware and component development.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to inspire teams and build trust with both internal and external stakeholders at every level.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive mindset and a proven ability to drive decisions and take ownership under uncertainty.
• Experience from start-up or scale-up environments is highly valued, especially roles requiring initiative, rapid decision-making and strong accountability.
• Fluency in English is required; Swedish is a plus.

Experience in the nuclear sector is beneficial but not required.
