Job summary

AJ Group seeks an experienced Civil Project Manager for a major Data Centre project in Skellefteå, Sweden. You will be accountable for the delivery of a €30M+ civils and external works package, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining programme targets in a fast-paced, international setting.

The role is contractor-side, suited to leaders with a strong civils background in large-scale infrastructure or data centre construction, delivering safe and compliant results on time.

Qualifications

Job description

The Opportunity

AJ Group are currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to join a major Data Centre project in Skellefteå, Sweden, working on behalf of a leading main contractor.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the delivery and oversight of a €30 million+ civils and external works package, working closely with the wider project team to ensure the works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

This is a contractor-side position, ideally suited to a Project Manager with a strong background in large-scale civils, infrastructure or Data Centre construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall management and delivery of the €30M+ civils and external works package.
• Lead the civils delivery team and coordinate subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Manage programme, sequencing, resources and day-to-day project delivery.
• Oversee earthworks, drainage, roads, utilities, concrete and associated external works.
• Coordinate closely with CSA, MEP and other project disciplines.
• Manage subcontractor performance, progress and commercial interfaces.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, drawings and programme requirements.
• Maintain strong health, safety and quality standards across the package.
• Attend and lead progress meetings with the client, consultants and wider project team.
• Identify and resolve construction issues and programme risks.
• Provide regular progress reporting to senior project management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Civil Project Manager / Senior Civil Project Manager on major construction projects.
• Previous experience delivering large-scale civils / external works packages.
• Ideally experience working on Data Centre, Mission Critical, Industrial or major infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing packages valued at €20M+, with experience of €30M+ highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes, subcontractor management and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, international project environment.
