Job summary

GeekSoft Consulting is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager in Ringhals, Sweden, for a fixed-term engagement. The role focuses on leading critical IT projects, infrastructure, and IT security, while aligning business operations with IT delivery.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, navigate governance, and ensure timely delivery with strong stakeholder communication in English and Swedish where required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager.
• As a business-focused IT Project Manager, work closely with the Nuclear business area, gaining valuable insight into its operations and processes.
• Lead critical IT projects that enable business operations, with a strong focus on infrastructure, IT security, and business-IT alignment.
• Lead IT projects and assignments independently from concept to completion, following established project governance principles.
• Bridge business operations and IT delivery by understanding business processes, requirements, and IT capabilities.
• Plan, execute, monitor, and deliver projects while ensuring scope, quality, timelines, and customer expectations are met.
• Translate business needs into clear IT requirements and actionable project deliverables.
• Manage project budgets, resources, schedules, and delivery plans.
• Coordinate with customers, solution architects, IT teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Lead geographically distributed international project teams through effective and collaborative leadership.
• Support knowledge transfer between business operations and IT teams.
• Work with project documentation and requirements, some of which may be in Swedish.
• Contribute to projects involving infrastructure, IT security, and business-critical IT systems.
• Strong IT knowledge and experience managing complex IT projects.
• Experience with change management and a strong interest in the energy sector.
• Excellent English communication skills; Swedish fluency is mandatory.
• Experience working in large, complex organizations is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while building effective relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
• University degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
