Job summary

Wellspect HealthCare, located in Mölndal, Sweden, is seeking a Production Development Engineer to shape medical device production methods. You will work closely with project teams, focusing on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to ensure quality and efficiency from concept through industrialization.

With a background in Mechanical or Industrial Design Engineering, you will drive improvements in production processes and collaborate with various stakeholders, including R&D and procurement. A commitment to making a difference in medical care is essential.

Qualifications

• Academic background preferably in Mechanical/Automation/Industrial Design Engineering or equivalent.
• Excellent experience of Design for Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean Product Development, Design Transfer, and Risk Management.
• Experience in project management, especially in new Product Development and Industrialization.
• Knowledge of automated manufacturing process development.
• Experience from working with technical specifications and external equipment suppliers.
• Some experience from testing/validation, preferably within life science or other regulated industry.
• Documentation and communication skills in English as well as in Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Lead/support project teams to find efficient production solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D for design development and material selection.
• Participate in equipment investment projects from concept to commissioning.
• Support supply chain from a technical perspective with procurement.
• Improve working methods with DFM in Product and Process Development.
• Train project members and stakeholders.
