Job summary

Ascilion, headquartered in Kista, Sweden, seeks a CAD Development Engineer to join our core product development team. You will own CAD design of mechanical and integrated product systems, drive design from concept through prototyping and manufacturing, and verify through hands-on lab testing.

You will collaborate across mechanics, electrochemistry, electronics, MEMS, regulatory, and manufacturing, joining a growing team tackling real-time biomarker access with microneedle technology.

Qualifications

• MSc in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) required.
• Expert-level SolidWorks capability and ability to teach it.
• Strong experience designing for manufacturing, especially injection molded parts.
• Strong understanding of tolerances, manufacturability and rapid iteration.
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing and MEMS structures is a strong plus.
• Experience with analog electronics design is a strong plus.
• PCB layout experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• CAD design of mechanical and integrated product systems.
• Drive design from concept through prototyping and manufacturing.
• Participate actively in testing, evaluation, and iterative product development.
• Collaborate with experts across mechanics, electrochemistry, electronics, MEMS, regulatory & quality, manufacturing, and system development.
