Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Product Owner for its software development team.

You will work on performance-critical energy applications and collaborate with software developers, researchers, and product management to deliver smarter and greener energy solutions. You will decompose business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specs, ensure artifacts are created and approved, and act as the Voice of the Customer during development and deployment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in Product Owner role in software development.
• Experience with Agile software development, processes and best practices.
• Sharp analytical mind with problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Good communication, presentation and leadership skills.
• Willingness to work in an international project setup and strong teamwork.
• Understanding of power system domain through education or experience.
• Nice to have: UX experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports PM in customer discussions to understand needs and workflows.
• Review and approve PM drafted business requirements for R&D.
• Decompose requirements into functional and non-functional specs.
• Ensure development artifacts are created and approved.
• Acts as Voice of the Customer during development and deployment.
• Serves as the main focal point between development team and stakeholders.
• Assist team managers in prioritizing work and evaluating progress.
• Create and groom backlog items with acceptance criteria.
• Identify scope changes and trigger change control when needed.
• Capture release notes and customer-facing material input.
