Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Process Engineer for a strategic investment project in Sweden. The role focuses on delivering detailed process work to define recipe steps, equipment use, operating parameters, and process verification for the new implementation.

You will work with automation and validation teams, coordinate closely with stakeholders, and ensure high delivery precision in a biotech/pharma manufacturing context. Start: September 2026; Allocation: 100%.

Qualifications

• Experience in process engineering within pharmaceutical, biotech or process manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of batch processes and recipe development.
• Experience defining process parameters, setpoints and operating limits.
• Understanding alarms, interlocks and control philosophy.
• Experience supporting commissioning, testing and troubleshooting activities.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare process descriptions, define sequence steps, identify critical process conditions, develop setpoints and operating limits, and provide input to alarms and interlocks.
• Support definition of how the new equipment should be operated within the process, including start-up, normal operation, abnormal conditions, and shutdown scenarios.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to confirm that the integrated process performs as intended.

The project is currently in a phase with increased focus on control systems (DeltaV) and ensuring continued progress. The role involves performing the detailed process work needed to define recipe steps, equipment use, operating parameters, and process verification for the new implementation.
