Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an Automation Engineer to join a strategic investment project in Sweden Operations. The role focuses on DeltaV control systems and delivering against defined scope, timeline and budget.

Responsibilities include designing automation sequences, alarms, interlocks, developing HMI graphics, and supporting FAT/SAT, commissioning, testing, and thorough documentation updates. Start date: September 2026; Allocation: 100%.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automation engineering experience in industrial or pharmaceutical environments.
• Experience configuring control logic, alarms, interlocks, phases, and sequences.
• Experience developing and testing HMI graphics and operator interfaces.
• Knowledge of equipment integration and communication interfaces.
• Experience supporting FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities. Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• DeltaV experience is highly desirable.

• Develop detailed automation design for sequences, interlocks, alarms, control logic, HMI graphics, and communication with new equipment and related subsystems.
• Update or create modules, parameters, and control strategies; support internal testing, FAT/SAT, troubleshooting, and documentation updates.
• Ensure that control functions associated with the new equipment are correctly implemented and verified.

The purpose of the role is to ensure stable and predictable delivery in line with the defined scope, timeline, and budget.
