Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Plant Technical Support Engineer, Specialist to act as the technical anchor for the department. You will report to the Director and help shape strategy and technical agendas while coordinating across R&D, operations, and global communities.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience in a technical environment, experience with SCADA systems is valued, and fluency in English is essential. The role offers exposure to international projects and travel as needed.

Region NCE and Global Offshore > NCE > Technical Operations North

Technical Operations is part of Service NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organization in installing and servicing a great number of SCADA systems, controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. Our mission is to transform a group of wind turbines into a fully operational power plant that meets contractual and regional specifications.

Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.

Responsibilities

As a Specialist for Plant Operations, we will be the technical anchor for the whole department. You will report to the Director and contribute to the strategy and technical agenda.

  • Have the overview of new products coming from R&D and be part of operational implementation
  • Engage in technical escalations and risks to our business
  • Anchor point for our 4 technical communities, making sure initiatives are aligned and create value for the business
  • Stakeholder engagement, be part of global and regional communities
  • Give input to the management on technical gaps, prioritisation, regional risks etc.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated leadership experience in a technical environment. For this position it is not your technical skills that will matter most, but more your ability to see synergies, align stakeholders and guide the technical agenda so it adds value to the business. You will be part of an operational department, but you will be the one with the helicopter view.

Additional Information

Your primary work location will be Aarhus or Videbæk, Denmark, but could also be in Malmö, Sweden, Husum or Hamburg, Germany.

You should expect some travel activity, approximately 20 days per year.
