Job summary

H&M Group seeks an Area Business Manager for the People area to shape how we support colleagues and managers with clear, effective people processes and tools, guiding improvements and prioritising business needs with HR, tech and market teams.

You will set priorities, manage budgets and lead a team to deliver inclusive, scalable solutions that improve the employee journey and comply with governance standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading change, business development, transformation or product/service delivery within HR/People or a similar complex environment.
• Strong understanding of HR processes, employee data and lifecycle capabilities.
• Ability to translate business and people needs into clear priorities and practical plans.
• Financial acumen with managing budgets, investments and resource allocation.
• Strong analytical skills and balance between value creation and cost optimization.

• Set direction for how the People area supports colleagues, managers and HR teams across the organisation.
• Turn business and people needs into clear priorities, plans and actions that create value in everyday work.
• Lead improvements across the employee journey with user-friendly processes and tools.
• Collaborate with People, Tech and market teams to align business needs with scalable solutions.
• Make thoughtful decisions on priorities, balancing experience, compliance, capacity and long-term impact.
• Create alignment between teams and stakeholders for shared outcomes.
• Ensure the area is governed with clear ownership of resources, budgets, risks and continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach and develop a team with formal people management responsibility.
