Job summary
Vestas in Malmö is seeking a senior network engineer for the Plant Operations Offshore cluster who will act as internal network consultant and escalation point for advanced incidents and technical questions. You will provide operational support to offshore wind farms, assist with troubleshooting, commissioning, and deployment of network solutions.
You will mentor less experienced engineers, align with 1st- and 3rd-level support, contribute to standardization of SCADA network solutions, and work
Qualifications
- Technical education in networking, engineering, computer science, automation, or a related field.
- CCNA level or similar is a strong advantage.
- Experience with industrial routers, switches, firewalls, remote access solutions, and structured troubleshooting.
- Good OT cybersecurity understanding and industrial communication protocols (MODBUS, IEC104, OPC, etc.).
- Experience with technical documentation, debugging techniques, and commissioning or service activities.
- Very good English skills, both spoken and written.
- Valid driving license B.
Responsibilities
- Act as an internal network consultant and escalation point for advanced incidents and technical questions.
- Provide operational support to offshore wind farms for troubleshooting, commissioning, and implementation of network solutions.
- Participate in remote support setups and on-call rotations to support site technicians and stakeholders.
- Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders on network design, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Support and mentor less experienced engineers in their development and daily technical work.
- Align with 1st and 3rd level support on work instructions, technical documentation, and process improvements.
- Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of SCADA network solutions while remaining execution-oriented.
