RPS Softwares AB is seeking a SCADA Server Infrastructure Engineer in Sweden to deliver and maintain a stable compute and storage foundation for OT systems. The role includes virtualization (VMware/vSAN), backup and disaster recovery, and lifecycle engineering to keep platforms modern and secure.

You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure continuous availability, document architectures, and support audits.

Formación

• 7+ years in server infrastructure (SCADA) and Windows/Linux admin experience.
• Experience with security solutions such as Trend Micro Deep Security and familiarity with Splunk/Syslog.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, vSAN).
• Understanding of OT networks and server architecture documentation.
• Experience with backup, DR, patch management and server lifecycle maintenance.

Responsabilidades

We are hiring SCADA Server Infrastructure Engineer for Sweden.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a SCADA Server Infrastructure Engineer who is responsible for delivering and maintaining a stable, secure, scalable and high-performing compute and storage foundation for OT systems operations. This includes both virtual and physical server platforms supporting SCADA. The engineer ensures continuous availability, implements robust backup and disaster recovery mechanisms, and applies lifecycle engineering principles to keep server platforms modern, reliable and aligned with standards. The role may in the future be subject to security clearance, and the applicable screening requirements must be met.

Educational Qualification: Degree in IT Infrastructure, Computer Engineering or related field.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineer and manage the end-to-end OT server lifecycle , including deploying virtual and physical environments, executing replacements and migrations, maintaining upgrade roadmaps, and participating in design reviews, acceptance testing, and operational readiness exercises.

Ensure continuous system reliability, resilience, and compliance by designing backup and high-availability failover solutions, proactively monitoring performance and capacity, conducting incident analysis to drive improvements, and maintaining comprehensive documentation to support internal and external audits.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• 7+ Years of Server infrastructure (SCADA) and experience with Windows/Linux system administration.
• Good knowledge of and experience with security solutions, such as Trend Micro Deep Security, and basic familiarity with Splunk, Syslog, and similar tools.
• Good knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, vSAN).
• Basic understanding of OT networks.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of server architectures, configurations, and procedures.
• Capable of maintaining and upgrading server infrastructure across its lifecycle.
• Skilled in preparing technical documentation and supporting supplier/solution validation.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware (e.g., Dell, HPE, IBM).
• Expertise in backup, disaster recovery, and patch management solutions (e.g., Veeam).
• Proficiency with Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, certificates, and domain services integration with Windows Server architecture.
• Automation is a plus, not a requirement (PowerShell scripts, etc.).

• Clear communicator, able to bridge technical and operational requirements.
• Able to work end-to-end independently while collaborating with multiple internal teams.
