Job summary

Dolphin Group is recruiting farm workers for a well-established family-operated dairy farm outside Östersund, Sweden. The role involves milking, animal care, and potential tractor duties, with two work-models: rotation (2 months on, 1 month off) or a permanent contract starting after an initial 3-month term.

Shifts are planned to a minimum of 48 hours per week, with flexibility. Accommodation is provided, including Wi‑Fi and shared facilities, and travel support may apply for new hires.

Qualifications

About this recruitment

We are recruiting up to 4 milk farm workers for a well-established family-operated farm outside Östersund, Sweden. The farm has 700 cows (400 milking) and a team of 7–8 people. Two contract options are available: a rotation model (2 months on, 1 month free) or a permanent position starting with an initial 3-month contract. Tractor skills are an advantage.

Working hours and pay

Minimum 48 hours per week (can become more occasional). Work is following planned shifts. 1 day free a week and usually the number of hours per day is 8.

Payment is assessed due to skills and through the process. At the test, the payment is €14/hour. For agreement after testing it might remain with a review at an agreed point or it might be higher.

Candidate profile

An experienced farm worker – man or woman – with a background in dairy farming or animal husbandry. Responsible, physically fit, and able to maintain consistent performance over longer periods. Tractor skills are an advantage. A candidate who has experience in farming work with animals and if possible, also how to operate the tractor.

Regular contract

If approved after the probationary period, a regular self-employed contract commences.

The ultimate client

Well-established family operated milk farms that also have farm machines and some cultivation of vegetables. There are 700 cows on the farm (400 for milking). 7-8 persons work at the farm mainly from Sweden, Lithuania, Germany and Afghanistan. Women also work at the farm from time to time and there is a dress room based on gender.

Accommodation

Accommodation follows Dolphin Group minimum standards including WI-FI available. Individual bedrooms and shared kitchen and toilets.

The accommodation is next to the farm. Closest supermarket is 4 km away. The main city is 45 km away
