Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Västerås, Sweden, seeks a System Development Specialist (Software Engineer) to join the MES team. You will develop and maintain .NET applications in C#, build RESTful APIs, and contribute to modernizing the MES with CI/CD pipelines and new tech stack.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development with C# and .NET.
• Experience building REST Web APIs and modern HTML/CSS front-ends.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Proficiency with Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to design and implement software solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain .NET applications (desktop and web) using C#.
• Design, build, and document RESTful Web APIs.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, driving initiatives end-to-end.
• Support operators and factory staff using the MES.
• Work with Git repositories and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Write and maintain unit tests and contribute to automation initiatives.
• Contribute to migrating the MES to a new technology stack.
