Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB is seeking an IT Business Analyst for MES and Manufacturing Systems in Ludvika with hybrid work flexibility. You will bridge operational needs with modern technology, shaping our digital backbone to support safe, reliable production across global factories.

In this role, you will model processes, collaborate with production teams and stakeholders, and drive improvements across the application landscape while ensuring security and integration with critical systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst or IT Consultant in industrial settings.
• Strong ability to model business and manufacturing processes into requirements.
• Fluency in English; Swedish language skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Business Analyst for manufacturing applications, ensuring they meet evolving operational and strategic requirements.
• Collaborate with production teams, process engineers, application owners, and global GI stakeholders to collect requirements and align across sites.
• Model production workflows, quality checkpoints, traceability, and data collection into functional/technical specifications for enhancements or new capabilities.
• Support the full lifecycle of manufacturing applications with security, reliability, and integration with critical systems.
• Facilitate workshops, perform gap analyses, and document decisions for clear shared understanding.
• Identify opportunities to streamline system landscapes and harmonize across factories.
• Drive continuous improvement by monitoring system performance and gathering user feedback.
