Job summary

ADB SAFEGATE is seeking a Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineer to own electromechanical product development from concept to production.

You will create 3D models and production drawings in SolidWorks, design enclosures and interfaces for electrical and embedded components, and build/test prototypes while collaborating with suppliers and customers. Fluency in English and Swedish is preferred for cross‑functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Solid understanding of electromechanical design and product development processes.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and debugging electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of electromechanical solutions from concept to production release.
• Create 3D models and production drawings in SolidWorks.
• Design mechanical parts, enclosures, cable solutions and interfaces for electrical and embedded components.
• Build, modify and troubleshoot prototypes including mechanical assembly and electrical testing.
• Perform electrical calculations such as power, current, voltage drop and cable sizing.
• Manage technical documentation, BOM updates and engineering changes with partners and customers.
• Coordinate with production and suppliers to meet electromechanical requirements and support certifications (CE, EMC).
• Design robust hardware for harsh/outdoor environments considering sealing, IP-rating, temperature, vibration and moisture.
