Job summary

MilDef, a global systems integrator, seeks a Mechanical Engineer for the Solutions team to drive system design, platform integration, and robust cable routing for rugged IT systems from concept to installation and verification.

Collaborating with cross‑functional teams and customers, you will produce manufacturing drawings and BOMs, apply INCOSE and ISO 15288 standards, and help deliver high‑quality, reliable solutions. Fluent Swedish and English are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
At least three years of experience in a mechanical design role.
Experience with 2D/3D design tools (AutoCAD) and electronics.
Knowledge of INCOSE and ISO 15288 standards for system design.
Strong problem-solving and system-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute integration design for MilDef’s systems and platforms with stakeholders.
Design and verify external and internal cable systems meeting environmental and performance standards.
Produce manufacturing drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues.
Contribute to system design, integration, and validation.
Support improvements in systems engineering processes, tools, and documentation.
