Job summary

Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support a Swedish photonics company in transforming an advanced demonstrator into a production-ready product.

You will work closely with the CTO and optics specialists, shaping the mechanical design capability and contributing to complex optical and electronic packaging. This role offers a dynamic start-up environment with potential for extension and immediate start.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Mechanical Design Engineering experience.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and manufacturing drawings.
• Experience with thermal simulations (Icepak/ANSYS or equivalent).
• Knowledge of electronic or optical packaging.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Experience in start-up or fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design for photonics packaging and high-performance electronic systems.
• Collaborate with CTO and specialists to build production-ready products.
• Transform a demonstrator into a commercial product through robust design and documentation.
• Contribute to Design for Manufacture and Design for Reliability.
