Job summary

Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) invites an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our naval projects in Karlskoga, Sweden. You will contribute to the development and detailed design of precision mechanical systems across the product lifecycle.

Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure designs meet demanding quality and manufacturability requirements while supporting technical documentation and concept-to-release activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical design within a development environment.
• Strong 3D CAD and design capability.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and design of mechanical parts and systems across the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with design engineers and multidisciplinary teams to meet requirements for quality, functionality and manufacturability.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation from concept through detailed design.

Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) have a consulting assignment available for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer in Karlskoga, Sweden.

We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering team within the naval area.

You will contribute to the development and design of complex naval products and systems within a technically advanced engineering environment, working across the product development lifecycle from concept and detailed design through to further development and technical documentation.

Working closely with other design engineers, technical specialists and multidisciplinary project teams, you will play an important role in ensuring mechanical designs meet demanding requirements for functionality, quality, precision and manufacturability.

This assignment offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging products within an established Swedish defence organisation and contribute to projects where engineering quality and precision are critical.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, ideally with a focus on precision mechanical design, or equivalent relevant professional experience
• 5+ years' experience within Mechanical Design Engineering
• Strong experience in mechanical design within a technical development environment
• Experience working through the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to technical documentation
• Strong 3D CAD and mechanical design capability
• Ability to work independently in a structured and methodical manner
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Comfortable working within multidisciplinary and cross-functional engineering teams
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Good command of both Swedish and English, spoken and written
• Previous experience within the defence industry
• Experience within the naval sector
• Experience in precision mechanical design
• Experience working within technically advanced engineering environments
• Experience in project-oriented product development organisations
• Experience designing products with demanding requirements for quality, functionality and manufacturability
