Job summary

Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer in Gothenburg, Sweden, to lead the electronic architecture and PCB development for an advanced photonics platform. • Strong understanding of Design for Reliability.

Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) have a consulting assignment available for an experienced Electronics Engineer to support an innovative Swedish photonics company developing next-generation optical communication products for AI data centres.

CMC provide expert engineering solutions on an international capacity for Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, Electronics, Software and other Advanced Engineering projects. We are currently looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join an expanding engineering team developing the first production version of an advanced photonics platform.

Working alongside the CTO, Mechanical Engineers and Photonics specialists, you will lead the electronic architecture, schematic capture and PCB development of complex mixed-signal systems that will ultimately be deployed within next-generation AI networking hardware.

What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years' experience in Electronics Design
• Extensive schematic capture experience
• Strong multilayer PCB design experience (KiCad preferred, Altium or Cadence also considered)
• Strong analogue and mixed-signal design experience
• Experience designing efficient DC/DC and linear power supplies
• Experience taking products from concept through to production
• Strong understanding of Design for Reliability
• Excellent communication skills in English
• FPGA exposure
• Embedded microcontroller programming
• Optical or photonics hardware
• Defence, automotive, telecommunications or high-reliability electronics
• AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g. Claude)
• Experience within start-up environments

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

Working Model: Hybrid

Contract Length: Initial 6-12 month assignment with strong extension potential

Start Date: Immediate
