Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Västerås is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design manufacturing equipment for the Fuel Factory, collaborating across the factory and maintenance teams. You will participate in feasibility studies, design, risk analysis, testing and commissioning, with a hybrid work arrangement and safety as a priority.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing/product development, SolidWorks proficiency, and PLM experience (Windchill/Teamcenter); Swedish and English

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of work experience in manufacturing and product development.
• Knowledge of mechanical designs and 3D tools.
• Experience with PLM systems (e.g. Windchill or Teamcenter).
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Create assembly and detail designs on new equipment.
• Participate in all phases of the projects, such as feasibility study, design, risk analysis, documentation, testing and commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Close collaboration with our employees in the factory.
• Improvement on existing equipment in collaboration with our maintenance department.
