Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Västerås, Sweden seeks a Mechanical Designer to design and develop equipment for nuclear fuel and reactors. You will deliver assignments from small tasks to large projects with our technical experts and other management, reporting to the Manager Tooling and Technology.

The role is based on-site at the Fuel Factory in Västerås, with occasional remote work depending on tasks. You will join a team of 12 designers and collaborate across multiple disciplines to meet

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a mechanical designer.
• Experience with 3D CAD and PDM systems (Creo and Windchill).
• Excellent Swedish and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Feasibility studies and investigations of technical solutions.
• Prepare detailed design documentation for manufacturing.
• Test newly developed equipment.
• CE-marked equipment work with requirements management, risk assessment and documentation.
