Join our dynamic Turbine Mechanical Integrity team as a Material Model Engineer! Imagine being at the forefront of innovation, where you will engage in the entire process—from test planning to the development and implementation of material models that are essential for our engineering team. You will collaborate closely with our colleagues in the materials laboratory, ensuring that your contributions directly impact our projects. Our team tackles a variety of tasks, including finite element (FE) analysis, alloy development, constitutive modeling, and methodology development, while also providing vital support to workshops, procurement, and service.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Develop, implement, and enhance constitutive and life material models for high-temperature applications.
  • Contribute to the development of methodologies and procedures for constitutive and life material modeling.
  • Support development and technology projects by assessing, planning, and evaluating material testing.
  • Provide assistance in response to inquiries from manufacturing and customers.
What You Bring
  • A Ph.D. in Solid Mechanics or a related field.
  • Extensive expertise in material modeling, backed by several years of experience and a solid theoretical foundation.
  • Experience with FE analysis for lifing calculations, along with a strong understanding of relevant principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • A collaborative mindset paired with strong communication skills.
