Job summary

Siemens Energy in Finspång, Sweden, is seeking a Material Model Engineer for the Turbine Mechanical Integrity team. You will develop and implement material models for high-temperature applications, working closely with the materials laboratory and engineering colleagues.

The role covers FE lifing analyses, alloy development, and methodology enhancement. A PhD in Solid Mechanics and strong communication skills are required to drive cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• PhD in Solid Mechanics or related field required.
• Extensive expertise in material modeling with strong theoretical grounding.
• Experience with FE analysis for lifing calculations and relevant methodologies.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Collaborative and communicative team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve constitutive and life material models for high-temperature applications.
• Contribute to methodology development for constitutive and life material modeling.
• Plan and evaluate material testing to support development and technology projects.
• Respond to inquiries from manufacturing and customers with technical input.
