Job summary

Cetasol is seeking a Marine IoT Technician to install and commission our systems on vessels across Europe and beyond. You will wire sensors in engine rooms and verify data, often traveling to customer sites to ensure seamless operation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with marine engines, automation, or navigation systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and work with onboard signals and sensors.
• Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission our systems on customer vessels across Europe and beyond.
• Verify data and ensure proper operation from cable installation to final signal check.
• Diagnose issues in the field and provide hands-on support as needed.
• Own the installation process from start to finish on assigned vessels.

We're hiring: Marine IoT Technician — Cetasol, Gothenburg

At Cetasol, we build IoT and analytics systems that connect to a vessel's engines, automation, and navigation systems — giving operators the insight they need to cut fuel and emissions. Now we're looking for someone to bring that technology on board, literally.

As our Marine IoT Technician, you'll install and commission our systems on customer vessels across Europe and beyond. One week you're wiring sensors into an engine room, supporting remotely or the next you're verifying data on a ferry. If you're happiest solving problems in the field and seeing the impact of your work firsthand, this is your role.

You'll be a great fit if you have:

Hands-on experience with marine engines, automation, or navigation systems

Confidence reading wiring diagrams and working with onboard signals and sensors

A genuine willingness to travel, often internationally

Bonus points for marine data protocols (NMEA, J1939/CAN, Modbus), IoT hardware experience, or maritime safety certs.

• This is a permanent, full-time position based in Gothenburg with frequent travel. You'll join a team that genuinely cares about decarbonizing the maritime industry — and you'll own your work from the first cable to the final signal check.
