Job summary

Atlas Copco Industrial Technique invites a master's student to join a real product development challenge: design and optimize the mechanical driveline for a low-reaction angle tool, combining ergonomics, durability and productivity.

Work with design engineers, run simulations, perform gear and bearing calculations, and present recommendations. The project is conducted at our Stockholm HQ with close collaboration to Atlas Copco specialists and external experts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design, Product Development, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in mechanical design, gears, bearings, shafts and power transmission.
• Analytical, proactive and good at cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Literature study, benchmarking and driveline analysis.
• Simulation and evaluation of gear ratio alternatives and system performance.
• Design of gears, shafts, bearings, housings, and related driveline components.
• Engineering calculations, design verification and concept optimization.
• Collaboration with Atlas Copco specialists and external experts.
• Design review and presentation of findings and recommendations.
