Job summary

Alfdex is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to advance the mechanical development of electric drive units. You will create and maintain CAD models, drawings and BOMs for drive systems and work with internal teams and external partners on a generic platform.

You will collaborate with mechanics, electronics and software to deliver next-gen mechatronic products, support customer projects and driving continuous improvement across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Several years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Strong experience with modern 3D CAD systems; Creo is an advantage.
• Experience working with manufacturing, suppliers and product development teams.
• Professional proficiency in English; Swedish a strong plus.
• Experience in mechatronics, electric motors, electronics packaging or automotive industries; DFx knowledge valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mechanical designs, CAD models, drawings and BOMs for electric drive units.
• Drive the mechanical development of the generic drive unit platform with internal teams and external partners.
• Collaborate with mechanics, electronics and software to develop next-gen mechatronic products.
• Support customer projects, engineering changes and ongoing product improvements.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing to ensure robust, manufacturable, cost-efficient designs.
• Participate in design reviews, validation activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to long-term development of future drive unit concepts and technologies.
