CorPower Ocean AB is seeking a Shipbuild Project Manager to act as the owner's representative on our newbuild vessel project, from shipyard selection to delivery and warranty. You will ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and the vessel's readiness to handle Wave Energy Converters safely.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations and finance, coordinate with yards, designers and suppliers, and help build the crew and operating organization.

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in naval architecture, marine engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
• 8+ years in shipbuilding or offshore projects, with at least one full newbuild from contract to delivery.
• Experience representing the owner in newbuild projects, including site supervision.
• Solid understanding of shipbuilding contracts, specifications and variation order management.
• Experience with classification societies and IMO regulations.

Responsabilités

• Prepare tender documentation with ship designer and internal stakeholders.
• Identify, pre-qualify and evaluate shipyards on capability, capacity, financial strength, track record and price.
• Lead or support negotiations of shipbuilding contracts, specifications, payment terms, guarantees and delivery schedule.
• Follow up shipbuilding contracts, milestones, payments, variation orders and claims.
• Coordinate with ship designer on design progress, drawings and changes.
• Manage interfaces between yard, designer, equipment suppliers and WEC engineering teams.
• Follow classification and flag state approval processes and related surveys and certification.
• Oversee systems for remote/unmanned operation and interface with remote operations centre.
• Attend site visits and coordinate owner’s site team during construction.
• Ensure QA, inspections, testing, HSE, and non-conformities are tracked.
