Job summary

CorPower Ocean is seeking a seasoned electrical engineer to own the electrical side of our wave energy converter and CorPack technologies. You will lead design, certification and field deployment, shaping how systems scale from prototype to commercial arrays.

You will work with our CTO and Chief Engineer, mentor engineers, and drive safety, standards compliance and cost-aware solutions across the full design lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of industrial electrical engineering experience.
• Design experience with grid-connected power electronics: generators, inverters and/or grid batteries.
• Experience with Inverter Based Resource (IBR) grid connection and compliance.
• Experience with medium or high voltage systems and the related personnel safety.

Responsibilities

• Be the principal technical authority on electrical engineering in the company, working alongside our Electrical Group Lead.
• Perform electrical system design and power system analysis.
• Own the full design lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through manufacturing, testing and commissioning.
• Support supplier selection and factory acceptance testing.
• Support assembly, testing, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in the field.
• Mentor engineers and build strong technical practices.
