Job summary

Getinge is seeking a Production Engineer to lead complex production development and transformation projects in Växjö, combining project leadership, industrialization, and operational improvement in a regulated medical technology environment.

You will own cross-functional initiatives, shape future manufacturing operations, and collaborate closely with Product Development and Operations to ensure robust documentation and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from university or equivalent working experience.
• Several years of relevant experience in production engineering, industrialization, manufacturing development, value stream engineering or project management.
• Proven experience leading complex cross-functional projects and implementing change in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken. Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead major production development, industrialization and transformation projects, including the introduction of new products and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and optimize production layouts, assembly concepts, material flows, internal logistics and capacity solutions.
• Coordinate Design Transfer and act as a key interface between Product Development and Operations, ensuring robust documentation and production readiness.
• Drive the implementation of automation and new manufacturing technologies that support future operational needs.
• Lead Manufacturing Excellence initiatives by applying Lean principles, standardization, waste reduction and structured continuous improvement to strengthen safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
